What Is It?

The Altamont is the wheelset that propelled Boyd Cycling to a major wheel company. Way ahead of it's time when it was released the Altamont received great reviews for the build quality, rim design, and durability. Fast forward to 2023, it's hard to find a good rim brake wheelset anymore. However, we know there is still a demand and still a need to high the highest possible quality alloy wheelset.

We get the email all the time, "I love my rim brake bike. I don't want to move to a different bike, but I want my current wheels to be nicer." Well, we hear you and thanks to the flexibility that in house manufacturing brings, we can produce this model when everyone else has decided to abandon this segment.

What’s It Used For?

If your existing rim brake wheels just need a rim refresh, then grabbing the Altamont rims is a great way to make your old wheelset new again. Move to a wider rim profile, with a tubeless rim bed, and rims that were specifically designed as front and rear specific.
