Repairs and Warranty

Boyd Cycling stands behind every product we sell and we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Boyd Johnson personally tests every product during research and development, and it is only after the designs receive his final approval that they are released for production and sale to our customers. To offer our clients peace of mind, we are pleased to offer the following warranty on all our wheels:
Boyd Cycling provides a 2 year (24 month) warranty to the original purchaser against defects in workmanship and/or materials. If the purchaser discovers within this period a defect in materials or workmanship, please notify Boyd Cycling promptly so the matter can be corrected. (Valid proof of purchase is required). Boyd Cycling reserves the right to provide replacement parts or products or, in the event that Boyd Cycling is unable to repair the product to conform to this limited warranty, we will – at our sole discretion – provide a replacement product.
This warranty does not apply to any defects caused by negligence, misuse, alteration, abuse, accidents, running it over with your car, your dog chewing the wheel, etc. We also do not cover damages resulting from improper shipment (other than first shipment at time of purchase), improper storage, use not consistent with the original intent for the product, neglected or poor maintenance, improper assembly, assembly with non-compatible products, normal wear and tear, or modifications to the original product. This warranty specifically excludes surface finishes and cosmetic treatments including but not limited to surface finishes and decals.
In the event of legal action, the sole proper venue for all claims or disputes under this warranty shall be contested in the courts of the State of South Carolina.

Warranty does not cover broken spokes or worn out bearings. While we ensure all builds are at the highest quality, but there are many outside forces that can affect both of those. We also do not manufacture the spokes or bearings. We will gladly assist in getting you up and running if a spoke or bearing goes out on you, but these both fall under the “wear and tear” categories.

Limitation of Liability

The sole remedy for breach of the limited warranty set forth herein is Boyd Cycling repair, replacement as described herein. In no event shall Boyd Cycling be liable for any other damages or liability, including special, incidental or consequential damages based upon breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict tort, or any other legal theory, and including damages arising from or related to any physical injury to person or property. Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exception may not apply to you. This warranty, and statutory law, gives the consumer specific legal rights and those rights may vary from place to place.

Return Policy

Wheels are covered by a two year policy from the date of purchase for the original owners (proof of purchase required). If you are not satisfied within 30 days, the wheelset can be returned to Boyd Cycling for a complete refund of the original purchase price minus original shipping charges. Customer is responsible for shipping back to Boyd Cycling. If the wheels are more than 30 days old, then the policy is to repair and replace the wheel should a problem arise. Refunds will not be given on wheel sets that have been ridden or used more than 30 days.
