With a solid lenticular shape, the flows over the wheel smoother than any spoked wheel, propelling you through the air faster, and shaving time of your next time trial or triathlon.
The rim brake version of the disc wheel featues a tubeless rime bed with a 19mm internal width, perfect for the 25mm to 28mm tires being used in these events. Developed using CFD analysis over dozens of possible wheel shapes, the lenticular shape is optimized for real world wind conditions.

tubeless rim bed
Tubeless tires used to be overly heavy and rugged in order to increase flat protection. The newest tubeless tires are faster than the non-tubeless variants and offer superior flat protection. Increase your speed and decrease your chances of flatting out on course.
cfd testing
A new lenticular shape is featured on the disc wheel. CFD testing was done in conjunction with a bike frame with rotating wheels to optimize for higher speed riding (20mph+) in wind conditions between 0 and 10 degrees of wind angle (yaw angle). This represents 70%+ of riding conditions on a very windy course, and 90%+ of riding conditions under normal wind conditions.

We have seen it at every triathlon or time trial. Valve hole stickers! Whether it’s a piece of cut vinyl, or an OBX sticker leftover from your vacation, they never look right on a high end wheel. There are even companies dedicated to making nicer looking stickers to fit over the valve hole. However, with the new disc wheels we have a dedicated carbon fiber valve hole cover that tightens into place using an allen wrench.
