The Boyd Story

Boyd Cycling is an innovative manufacturer of high performance bicycle wheel systems that has provided top service for 10 years out of Greenville, South Carolina. BOYD was founded by Boyd and Nicole Johnson in September 2009.

BOYD first sold wheels, frames and accessories, but in 2011 narrowed focus to design and manufacture innovative hand-built wheels with their own proprietary designs. Over ten years of combined racing experience is what drives BOYD to make products that perform at their best.

BOYD creates products for real cyclists. Every BOYD product must perform at its best, have excellent durability, and ease of service. BOYD continues to remain a family owned company with very attentive customer service. BOYD sells worldwide – direct to consumer and through an extensive dealer network of bike shops and custom wheel builders.

New wheels is the best way to improve how your bike rides. Every BOYD wheel built is given the attention to detail as if it were our very own. By placing such an emphasis on quality, and by building in-house, we have many layers of quality control that are not found elsewhere.

This means that you will receive the highest quality carbon or alloy wheel, no matter if it’s January or July. You can spend more money, but you can’t buy a better wheelset.
